The brand's story began with an observation and an encounter. Two of the three founders, Achille and Simon, met on a bench in 2013. Both had been wearing mismatched shoes since childhood. The founders started from the observation that we have two feet and can therefore wear two mismatched shoes, but for the world to be ready to take the plunge, it has to be elegantly done. This is where Benoît, the third founder, comes in as a designer, to imagine pairs of elegantly mismatched men's and women's shoes.

Unmatched shoes, yes, but they have to be elegant. And to do this, Caval must respect one rule: there must be 7 differences between the right and left feet. They are the result of European know-how. In France, Caval designs the models, in Italie and more precisely in Lombardy, where the company buys top-quality leather, ensuring that it is supple and resistant, a guarantee of quality.It is shipped to Portugal, in Guimarães, where the Caval shoes are produced by hand.

A sole glued and sewn directly to the shoe upper, this process ensures the shoe's solidity and durability.
