In 1977, the Style 36, the second skate shoe created by Vans, was born. It was the first Vans shoe to feature the iconic Sidestripe™ (also known as the "Jazz Stripe"), which has left a lasting mark on the history of footwear. In the early 90s, the Style 36 was renamed Old Skool™ before celebrating its 30th anniversary and becoming officially a Vans Classic. The Premium Old Skool 36 shoes have a higher satin side and decorative stitching.
