The new eTrex® 10 retains the core features, ruggedness, low price and battery life of eTrex, the most reliable GPS on the market today. In addition, we've improved the user interface and added a world map background, virtual treasure hunt, and support for mounting accessories. They share the same name. They have the same level of quality. But the eTrex 10 is a completely new device. A device that only Garmin could offer you.
Watch where you're going
The eTrex 10 is equipped with a 2.2-inch monochrome display that is easy to read in all lighting conditions. Both rugged and waterproof, eTrex 10 is designed to withstand the elements. With its user-friendly interface, you'll be able to focus on outdoor activities with less time spent searching for information. The eTrex 10 is built tough to withstand the elements. Whether it's dust, dirt, moisture, or water, there's nothing to stop your navigation system.
Experience the moments you'll never forget!
eTrex 10 supports GPX treasure hunt files for downloading treasures directly to your device. No more paper. Not only do you help protect the environment, but you're also more efficient. eTrex 10 stores and displays important information such as your location, terrain and difficulty, tips, and descriptions. No need to manually enter coordinates and print everything. Simply download the GPX file to your device and go on a treasure hunt.
Stay on course
Equipped with a high-sensitivity, WAAS-enabled GPS receiver and HotFix® satellite prediction system, eTrex 10 quickly and accurately calculates your position and maintains its GPS location even in heavily forested areas and deep valleys. The advantage is obvious: Whether you're deep in the woods or near trees or tall buildings, you can count on eTrex 10 to guide you when you need it most.
Take a Global Perspective
The new eTrex series are the first consumer receivers capable of tracking GPS and GLONASS satellites simultaneously. GLONASS is a system developed by the Russian Federation. It will be fully operational in 2012. GLONASS satellites are (on average) 20% faster to lock on position than GPS. And when both GPS and GLONASS systems are used, the receiver uses 24 more satellites than with GPS alone.
